Top 5 Horror Inspired Fashion Lines That Should Exist

After recently hearing about H&M's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo-inspired fashion line, I started thinking about how many horror or grindhouse movies could be used as inspiration for some interesting clothing. Here are my top 5:

5. Shutter Island
The main clothing involved with Shutter Island would be 40's-style suits, overcoats and hats in mostly brown, dark blue or black colors, along with floral print ties and bowties like ones Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley wore in the film.

4. The Lost Boys
I'm pretty surprised The Lost Boys has never been the main inspiration for a fashion line before. The mostly punk and goth inspired clothing in the film includes leather, chains, David's (Kiefer Sutherland) long black peacoat, Marko's (Alex Winter) colorful leather jacket and various necklaces and feathered earrings.

3. The Shining
Jack Nicholson's red corduroy jacket is the most memorable piece of clothing from the film (one that actually belonged to Jack Nicholson) and was designed by Margaret Howell, however, there are various pieces of clothing and other textures throughout The Shining that could help create an entire line of clothing (Wendy's various sweaters, the pattern of the famous carpet of the hotel, etc.)

2. Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
The clothing in this grindhouse classic includes lowcut tops, black leather pants, white shorts and bellbottoms, knee high boots, halter tops, white tank tops with a double stripe across the chest, along with belts and black leather gloves.

1. Hobo With a Shotgun
Slick and Ivan's black and white varsity jackets, tight jeans, white belts, Converse sneakers and wayfarer sunglasses create a classic retro look, while the Hobo's gritty, tattered jacket, hoodies, jeans and plaids come together for a more grunge inspired outfit. Along with that, Drake's black and white outfit including a black shirt, white tie, black shoes and a white blazer, is also worth mentioning.
Slick, Ivan, Hobo and Drake are the obvious inspirations when it comes to clothing, but The Plague, clad in black leather, spikes, black metal plating, chains and combat boots could be used in a more avante-garde fashion line, similar to Lisa Shanho's style.
