Holliston: Big Bang Theory For Horror Fans

If you havent heard of Holliston, it's Adam Green (Hatchet) and Joe Lynch's (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End) new comedy show on FEARNet. The show is about Adam and Joe living together as aspiring horror directors with a film show on the public access channel, and their lives struggling with girls, money and horror films.

Along with Joe Lynch and Adam Green, the cast features Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider as Joe and Adam's "boss" and GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus as Adam's ridiculous imaginary friend. 

The reason I call it The Big Bang Theory for horror fans is because that's exactly what it is; a sitcom with tons of jokes that many horror fans will appreciate in the same way that The Big Bang Theory is filled with comic book and sci-fi references directed at fans of those things.

The show was surprisingly awesome.The first episode has Adam hire a hooker to act as his girlfriend in order to make an ex he's been obsessing over jealous.It was really funny and had a bunch of awesome horror references and jokes that you certainly won't find on any other sitcom. It also has much more adult humor than sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory which are usually fairly goofy and not too mature. 

So, if you're looking for a great comedy show made for horror fans by horror fans, Holliston is definitely worth a try.
